Inaugurated in 1994, this railroad counts on a fleet of two steam engines, a gasoline locomotive, an electrical automotive, a diesel engine and 10 cars of passengers.
The operation of the train is responsibility of an association formed by former railway workers and fans to the train.
In the photo, the station master gives permission to begin the journey, between the stations of "the Raco '" and "the Farm", with a length of 1200 meters.
The train initiates its route The locomotive is one of the two steam locomotives model Romulus of the railroad fleet.
The one who drives the train is a member of the "Cultural Railway of Burjassot", association of fans to the train that, unselfish, operates and maintains the locomotives flleet and the facilities of the railroad, property of the city council of Burjassot.
The collection by the ticket sale is destined completely to the maintenance of the facilities.
The train crosses a bridge of lattice window arc on a "lake".
In the route, of 1200 meters long, we find most of elements that are common in a railway passage. In addition to the bridge, the train crosses a tunnel and an explanation in trench.
The steam engine Romulus, ready to initiate another passage.
The railroad has two units of this locomotive, that arrived at the Farm in 1994.
Another view of the steam locomotive class "Romulus".
This model of steam engine was designed by Roger Marsh, and is widely spread everywhere..
The layout of the route has all the elements that are present in a layout of real railroad: there are luminous signals (traffic lights), changes of needles, auxiliary routes, a command post, etc.
As the layout is only one way, the trains must wait in the station the arrival of the train that blocks the route, to be able to resume the trip, always respecting the signals and the indications of the command post, that communicates with the machinists via radio.
Changing direction, once finalized the journey. This maneouver is made taking the locomotive to a movable platform, that turns to change the direction.
The passenger cars, loaded of travellers, wait in the station. The machine, once completed the change of direction, will pass the passenger cars by an auxiliary route for, later, returning reverse gear to hook the wagons.
