SECTION XII OF TURIA RIVERBED .
OPENING HOURS: From 10 to 20 hours, daily.
FREE ENTRANCE
Located in the old channel of the Turia river, and closely together of the City of the Arts and Sciences, is the park of Gulliver. Based on the story "Gulliver's travels" of Jonathan Swift, this park represents the figure of the Gulliver giant tended in the ground, and tied with cords. The children that play around him seem the Lilliputians of the Swift's story.
View of the head and a hand of the "giant" Gulliver, sleepy after reaching the coast of Liliput, when its boat was shipwrecked.
Detail of the hand of Gulliver, really gigantic dimensions.
The hair of the giant becomes slides for benefit of the "Lilliputians".
All the giant is covered with slides and stairs.
The construction material is relatively soft, and of cleared forms, to increase the security of the children..
Detail of the other hand of the giant.
The design and amplitude of the spaces makes the attraction usable both for children and their parents.
A wide slide to enjoy all the family together.
Some slides seem to scare to smallest, so they think twice before slipping.
But there is no danger. The sections of slides with greater slope have a nonskid covering that reduces the speed of slope.
To climb up the hand of a giant is far from easy, although the giant is slept.
