At the left, you can see the city council, and in front of it, a seat where "mascletaes" are fired during fallas, the main festivity of Valencia.

It is a construction of eclectic style, that lodges inside the "Municipal Historical Museum of Valencia" where are guarded the flag of Valencia, named "the Senyera", the "Banner of Reconquista", the sword of "Jaime I" and "The Book of the Furs" (the first law of the city).
Inside the city council, it's worth to see the marble stairs, the Dance hall and the Assembly hall.

This clock marks the beginning of "mascletaes", at 14:00 o'clock every day from the 1st to the 19th of March, during fallas, the main festivity of Valencia, Spain.

At the present time, it is owned by an important bank of the country, "La Caixa".

It is a building of classic cut, inaugurated in 1923, and restrored completely in 2004.
During this last reform, the spectacular show window of the cupola was recovered, and the imposing metallic tower that crowns the building was restituted. It had been removed in previous reforms.

We recommended to enter the main lobby and to contemplate the show window that adorns the cupola of the building.

During the integral rehabilitation of the building, in 2004, this tower was constructed and restituted.
It was present in the building when it was constructed in 1923, but it had disappeared in later reforms.
